The Genoyer Lab

We study RNA virus-host interactions with a particular focus on the spatial regulation of viral replication and innate immune activation. Our work combines molecular virology, cell biology, and innate immunity to tackle exciting questions in positive-sense RNA virus biology and pattern recognition receptor sensing. We also have a strong interest in developing and adopting novel imaging technologies to better visualize RNA-host interactions through time and space.

We are opening in January 2026 at the University of Florida in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology! Join us!
